Due to predicted severe weather, RPS is canceling all after-school practices and games.
Here's what this means:
- All sporting events and practices are canceled.
- All activity buses are canceled.
- All Middle School After School classes and clubs offered through Community Education are canceled. All other Community Education programs are on as scheduled unless you receive a direct message from Community Education to the contrary.
Please check with your schools about their plans for PTSA meetings, concerts, and other events. The School Board meeting will still occur at the Edison Building starting at 5:30 p.m. If you cannot attend in person, you can livestream the board meeting at https://www.youtube.com/@ISD535.

A couple weeks ago, our students participated in our first Culture Day. It was amazing to see the pride they took in all their presentations. All of our students and adults learned important things about one another that day. Here are some additional pictures that didn't get posted in our first round! We hope you enjoy.

Minnesota MATHCounts Coach Jack Faillor from Kellogg Middle School shared, "Minnesota just found out the results! We placed 4th Place out of 56 teams in the national MATHCounts competition! I am very proud of the team effort, which shows that Minnesota can compete with the best mathematicians nationwide. As a result, we also won Most Improved State and got recognized in front of the countdown round. As an Individual, Eric, from Kellogg Middle School, took 5th Place in the written round!"
Coach Jack Faillor and Eric participated in the MN MATHCounts afterschool program through Rochester Community Education. Congratulations on your accomplishments!
Our school nurses serve a vital role, working not only to address students' needs but also as advocates and liaisons to families and healthcare providers, improving health outcomes for both students and families. Thank you, school nurses!

Kellogg's Culture Day was a great success! Students were so proud to teach their peers about their culture and heritage. We are incredibly proud of all they invested in this event.
