April is National Bilingual/Multilingual Learner Advocacy Month and a time to celebrate the linguistic diversity that bilingual and multilingual students and families bring to our school community. As a school district, we support our multilingual families with the help of multilingual and bilingual specialists who help break language barriers and strengthen communication between our staff, students, and school communities.
Meet our school's bilingual specialists in the photos on this post! Our bilingual families are invited to connect with our bilingual specialists for support with translations, interpretations, and connections with school and District administration to help enrich their students' education.

You see them opening milk cartons in the lunchrooms, reading with students in the libraries, helping out on playgrounds, chaperoning field trips, and helping office staff stuff envelopes -- public school volunteers are a force, and we are happy to celebrate them this week!

It's Book Fair time (next Wednesday, Thursday and Friday!) We're turning up the volume on this year's fair with more books, more choices, and more fun than ever before. #ScholasticBookFairs

WHAT'S THIS 50-50-170 ABOUT?!?!
Monday - We entered the names of ALL Comets who have not had a single tech violation all year into a drawing! 50 students were chosen for a special treat provided by PTSA!
Tuesday - We entered the names of ALL Comets who have not had a single level 1 or level 2 all year into a drawing! 50 students were chosen for a special treat provided by PTSA!
Today - We decided to skip the drawing and just give ALL 170 Comets who have had perfect attendance so far this year a special treat provided by PTSA!
Putting the tech away, meeting behavior expectations and showing up on time MATTERS! Congrats to all our Comets 💫who meet our middle school expectations each and every day. WE SEE 👀 YOU!

We didn't see much but at least they had fun!

Please take note of upcoming MCA dates!
